Rothwell Group Ltd (RGL) is proud to announce the commencement of essential fire safety upgrade works at Hull Station, focusing on the replacement of fire detection panels, sensors, and associated peripherals throughout the site.
This major upgrade involves transitioning from the existing Gent system to a modern, open-protocol Advanced MX5 Pro system, enhancing the station’s fire detection capabilities and ensuring compliance with the latest safety standards.
Project Scope & Methodology
The works are being carried out in carefully planned phases to minimize disruption to passengers, station staff, and retail tenants. Each phase includes:
- Surveying and tracing existing fire alarm equipment and wiring.
- Isolating and replacing outdated devices with pre-addressed, modern units.
- Installing new panels and bases, ensuring secure connections and system integrity.
- Testing and commissioning each loop by certified BAFE engineers.
- Reporting and resolving faults in collaboration with Network Rail site management.
- Phased Delivery Strategy structured into six distinct phases: Each phase is designed to maintain operational continuity, with both old and new systems running in parallel during transitions.
RGL is committed to delivering this project with minimal disruption, maximum safety, and full transparency.
